About the Climate Change Site

The World Bank has set up this Climate Change beta site to test an entirely new approach to presenting our information online. The goal is to gather feedback and finalize an approach that we can apply throughout the Bank's website.

Improving access. This site offers one place to find the full range of Bank activities and information on climate change. Based on extensive user feedback, we are making available all the latest news, project information, data, documents, and reports from across our global organization. The goal is easy access to any information related to climate change, without having to know how the Bank is organized. This site also puts more emphasis on feature materials and key results—information that makes it easy to understand what we are doing and achieving.

Engaging with people. Development is about helping people, and this site brings to the fore the people involved in the Bank's activities. We are using more of the web's potential to enable feedback and promote discussion, as well as making it easier for you to use and share Bank information across the Internet. This underscores that the people we serve and partner with are actively helping us generate the knowledge needed to address the challenges of development. We are also working, in conjunction with this beta site, to make more of our information accessible on mobile devices, which are expanding the reach of digital information to two-thirds of the world's people.

Moving forward. We will gather feedback from users to refine and further test the beta site before we revamp the World Bank's site as a whole. We invite users to visit frequently to check out new features and functionality and offer input. We are your World Bank— everyone with an interest or stake in development is welcome to partner with us and help ensure that we build the best, most engaging site for building ideas and sharing knowledge on development.
